Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1970 (OSHA) (PL 91-596; 5 USC 5108)

This act established national safety and health standards for worker environments, including standards for occupational exposure limits to toxic and/or hazardous agents. The act created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Executive Order 11348 - Training

Authorizes the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to issue regulations governing training programs for federal government employees. Provides direction to agency heads concerning how the statutory authority in 5 USC 41 (formerly known as the Government Employees Training Act) is to be implemented in order to prioritize, conduct, evaluate, and report on the training of federal government employees.

Executive Order 12107 - Training (1978)

Implements Reorganization Plan no. 2 of 1978 by establishing the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and transferring various functions from the Civil Service Comission (CSC) to the OPM, including performing the training responsibilities as set forth in 5 USC 41 (formerly known as the Government Employees Training Act).
